Folio 120. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to John Kirkland, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union. They acknowledge receipt of his letter dated 8 September 1856 in regard to the details of the 'Diets of Children' under 9 years old. The Board notes there is no division of allowance of diet between the ages of 2-5, and 5-9; and the different needs of these ages should be considered. It is suggested the guardians should consider the diet with the medical officer.
A form is enclosed [not included] for the particulars of the diets based on the division of age.
