Folios 122-123. Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to John Kirkland, Clerk to the Guardians of the Southwell Union, acknowledging receipt of a letter of 11 September 1856 with regard to the clerk's security. He states that it is customary for the guardians to fix the amount of security for a union officer, and they should do so in the present instance. When decided upon, the amount should be reported to the Board. Once executed, the bond should be handed over to the custody of the treasurer of the Southwell Union.
