Nature of request: Record of an inquisition held at Royston before Matthew de Bassingburn, Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, on the Tuesday after the feast of St Augustine, 2 Edward III, finding that Richard de Welleford and Geoffrey de Weston, merchants of London, were robbed on the King's highway at Potterescrouch between Arrington and Caxton, and that although their servants raised the hue and cry after that robbery, the people of those parts did not attempt to attach the malefactors, but allowed them to escape.
