Nature of request: Writ of Richard II, ordering the Mayor and bailiffs of Lincoln to appear before the king and his council in parliament at Westminster on the Tuesday after the feast of the Purification, with sufficient instruction and information concerning all the matters contained in the petition enclosed in the writ, and with sufficient power and authority under the common seal of the city to answer for themselves and the community of the city concerning everything contained in the petition, and to discuss and come to a final decision on these things, and to do and receive what the king and his council ordains in this matter, on pain of £200.
