Description:

Marlborough to Secretary the earl of Sunderland: he has written to Prince Eugene about the 4,000 German troops intended for Spain, and encloses a copy [SP 87/3/13]. He has offered twenty crowns per private soldier and has written to Chetwind to assist in the speedy embarkation of the men, and encloses a copy [SP 87/3/14]. He is in a boat between The Hague and Rotterdam on his way to Flanders. As soon as he reaches Antwerp he will write to M. Chamillard about the mistreatment of 'our people'. From there he will travel to Ghent and Brussels. ff. 26, 27
