Seizure books with copies of documents, such as inquisitions, relating to Exchequer process of debtors and outlaws. The first volume covers the period of James I and part of that of Charles I and there follow two overlapping volumes, which date to the late eighteenth century. Each contains the separate business of one of the Remembrancer's of the Exchequer.

Administrative / biographical background:

As the responsibility for the administration of the Crown lands in Wales did not fall to the Exchequer until 1543, the auditors for circuit 7 had responsibilities that in England were generally the province of the Sheriff.
