The books are indexed. |

Entries are chronological, by year and cause number. The numbering of causes was introduced in 1881 and until 1883 a new numbering sequence began each year. In 1884 a new sequence began, and ran on continuously, in the books at Durham, to cause number 1024 in 1913. The cause books in this series continue the numbering sequence, without a break, at cause number 1025. |
