Administrative / biographical background: |
Pidford Farm, like Stone Gillmans, was anciently part of the Homage of North Godshill. It was sold in 1724 by Sir Robert Worsley of Appuldurcombe to John Worsley of Gatcombe, clerk, grandfather of Henry Worsley, and thus forms the core of the second, smaller, estate of the Pidford Worsleys. |
