Description:
Petitioners: Nicholas Cam (Canne); Elizabeth Crapwell, mother-in-law of Nicholas Cam.

Nature of request: Cam and Crapwell show that Archer, by his great might and power with force, entered into certain lands and tenements of theirs in the towns of Malling and 'Ingebarow' in the parish of Birling, and took and carried away certain goods of theirs to the value of 20 marks, and still retains them. He has also indicted them claiming the lands and tenements are his as of right, but has refused to produce anything to prove his title which is contrary to all law and conscience. They request that the premises are considered, and how they are without remedy in that Archer is so mighty in goods, and they are so poor, unless the prince shows them his gracious lordship.
