Place or Subject: Lease of a piece of ground on Calne for the lifetimes of Walter, Dorothy and Robert Snell, 25 s. p.a.; on condition a house is built thereon within five years. Wilts. Attached: 8 Apr 1619 Parties: Walter Snell of Studley in Bremhill co. Wilts., gent., Dorothy, his wife, and Robert, their son. Sir John Ernelye of Whetton co. Wilts., kt., John Pyme, esq., receiver general for Wilts., and Robert Treswell, esq., surveyor general of woods this side of Trent, commissioners for the disforested grounds of Pewsham, and Blackmore. Place of Subject: Assignment of the above lease of land in Calne, now enclosed in King's Bowood Park, with the house built thereon; in consideration of 10 l. and a similar amount of land in Pewsham Forest.
