Title: Exchequer: King's Remembrancer: Modern Deeds, Series D
Description:

This series is made up of deeds held by the King's Remembrancer's Office which were separated from the main series in E 210 on account of their date. The series consists of those deeds dating from the reign of James I (1603-25) onwards, but this material is not greatly different in type from that in the original collection.

The series, which is arranged haphazardly, is predominantly made up of conveyancing deeds, along with a variety of bonds and agreements, some of a commercial nature, and a quantity of wills. At least one major estate archive, that pertaining to the Rich family's earldoms of Holland and Warwick (extinct 1759), is represented. Most of the deeds date from the 17th century.
