Description:

1 item (enclosure in a private letter from C[astlereagh] to Lord Liverpool, 23 May 1814) extracted from FO 92/4. 'Carte de L'Empire Français et du Royaume d'Italie, avec une partie des Etats qui sont sous la protection de l'Empereur Napoléon ...': map of Europe between the Pyrenees and the Adriatic. Reference tables to départements added to France and 'départements' of the kingdom of Italy. Scale: 7.1 cm to 20 myriametres. Drawn by Lapie, Geographer and Captain of Engineers; prepared, engraved and published by Picquet, Paris, Quai de la monnaie, 1811. MS additions, coloured, show the boundaries of 'old France' [i.e. as in 1792], accessions to be granted [under the Treaty of Paris] and 'Réunions'. Dedicated to Napoléon by Charles Picquet.
