Name: Arthington Priory, common seal Sealed at ?York, Yorkshire.

Document Note: On the document the year of grace is given as 1241. Sealed in the Yorkshire county court ('in pleno Comitatu Ebor''). Although only the priory's common seal is mentioned in the sealing clause, there seem to have been two seals.

Seal Design: Design: the Virgin Mary standing holding a lily, Size: 40 mm, Shape: round, Colour: green and uncoloured, Legend: *SIGILL'·SCE MARIE·D[.]N, Monastic.

Material: Wax.
