The Great Britain Headquarters of the Nature Conservancy Council was established in 1973. It was based in Belgrave Square London and relocated to Peterborough in 1984.

The England Headquarters (along with those of Scotland and Wales) was created in 1973 following the Nature Conservancy Act 1973. It was originally based in London, moving to Banbury in 1975.
