Description:

CLASS A HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION

With the exception of the Letters Patent of 1551 and the Architect's Drawings, most of the records listed H01/ST/A/127 to H01/ST/A/175 date from the creation of the National Health Service in 1948 to its first major reorganisation in 1974. The main series of administrative records of St Thomas' Hospital transferred to the Greater London Record Office in 1967 and 1968 does however include reports and papers dating from 1948 to 1968. Where later transfers consist of continuations of series included in the first deposit, they have been added to the earlier part of the series, as for example with the annual reports of St Thomas' Hospital (ref H01/ST/A/59/A/071-087).
