Jos. Hollis, Lyndhurst. There is a Treasury Order to deliver 100 extra beeches this year. The Duke of Bedford has visited and informed the Privy Seal was passed for him or the Lord Warden to deliver annually to Portsmouth 370 loads of oak and 50 beeches more for 20 years to come at the same time as the order from the Surveyor of the Woods. Asks for an Officer to come and sign it as soon as the Contract is complete and asks for two days notice to inform the Forest Officers
