Short title: Zouche v Zouche. Plaintiffs: John Zouche esq, son and heir apparent of Sir John Zouche kt. Defendants: The said Sir John Zouche kt, Jasper Draycott, John Thwaite, Henry Hyde, gent of Aldercar Park [in Heanor], Sampson Colecloughe, gent, Richard Cowper and Ellis Cowper, George Ward, Richard Piggen, William Cotes, Edward Booker alias Edward Strangwyse, John Machin, Edward Mobery, John Boughton, John Sympson, and others. Subject: Forcible entry, cutting, carrying and destruction of grass oats and barley and assault on the servants of plaintiff John Zouche at Codnor, suppression of a warrant, and seizure of coals and tools at Heanor and Langley. The castle of Codnor, the manors of Heanor, Loscoe, Milnhey, Ripley, Butterly, Alfreston, Swanwick, Somercotes, Greenhill, Reddings and Outseats with messuages, lands and coal-mines there, had been conveyed to plaintiff John Zouche by his father Sir John Zouche.
