Folio 107: Commissioner Sir Henry Greenhill, London. Report of proceedings concerning Portsmouth: John Champneys, JP of Somerset, wrote that he sent men to Portsmouth to volunteer on the Vanguard, but the men were taken on the Boyne by Captain Pedder and may not receive their bounty money. Mr. Sutherland's hardships following his non attendance at Winchester Assizes, HM's timber in the custody of Daniel Hayward of Lymington, and information from Sir Robert Smith, JP of Lymington, about stolen canvas that is to be returned to Portsmouth. |
