From: William Baker, Clerk to the Lymington Local Board, Lymington [Hampshire].

Subject Matter: Letter in reply to a letter of the 25 January 1867, Baker confirms that he will transmit today a copy of the Summoning Officers certificate of election of the Local Board to Mr Grove. He also explains that 200 copies of the certificate were circulated in the district and that those which are now posted on the doors of the churches and chapels were cut and defaced by Mr Grove himself, and consequently has had ample means of ascertaining the nature of the certificate and of possessing himself a copy if he had wished to do so.
