Folios 26-27. To: The General Board of Health. From: William Clarke, Churchwarden, Luton [Bedfordshire]. Subject Matter: Letter on behalf of the majority of the ratepayers who petitioned against the report made by the Inspector on the sanitary conditions of the town of Luton, not been carried into effect in consequence of the inability to of meeting the demands of a large outlay, and whose petition is now open for public inspection. Clarks asks for a copy of the petition, which is stated in the report to be signed by one tenth of the ratepayers of the town of Luton for the Inquiry to be made, so that it may be placed for public inspection. |
