From: Robert Sutcliffe, Idle, [Yorkshire].

A letter acknowledging the Home Secretary's letter informing Sutcliffe that a petition he had made praying for the Home Secretary not to remit surcharges made against members of the Idle Local Board in the audit of their accounts, which they had appealed against, had been forwarded to the Idle Board. Sutcliffe request that the Home Secretary will send any remarks made by the Idle Local Board on this petition so that he and his fellow petitioners may rebut them.
