From: Benjamin Hadwin Gillbanks, Burnham, [Burnham on Sea, Somerset].

Letter asking if the election of the local board was legal. Instead of the clerk, the surveyor was appointed to conduct the election, some owners were not allowed votes and two men were elected who do not live in the district. The chairman has refused to allow the ratepayers to scrutinise the votes.
