Folio(s) 237-238. Letter [in French] from Hector [Count d'Hector] regarding his request to stay in Southampton [Hampshire]. He writes on behalf of his sister-in-law the Countess of Soulange and her daughter the [Countess of Boiséon], who lost several male relatives in the fighting at Quiberon [Brittany, France]. They now live at Lymington [Hampshire], where the Countess of Soulange cares for her brother who is deaf and ill. The breakup of their [home] would put them in a very difficult position.
