Enclosed is a letter of 29 July to Rose from Andrew Cochrane interceding for James King Keeling, due for execution on 1 August, convicted of robbing Mr Howarth's house in Berkeley Street [Mayfair, Westminster], the prosecutor recommending mercy. |
