Folios 214-217. Two forms from the audit for the half-year up to 29 September 1873 from A G Chamberlin, District Auditor of the Southwell Union, to the Local Government Board. First form: for Sutton upon Trent School Board. No sums certified. Annotation: put by. Second form: for Southwell Union, the sums certified in Receipt and Repayment Book: Richard Harpham, Charles Wilcox, John Atkinson, John Keyworth, church wardens and overseers for Laxton. Disallowed fee paid to magistrates clerk for allowance of Jury list. 5/-. John Walker, William Woombell, overseers of Wellow: disallowed a journey not legally chargeable 5/6; and parts of salary paid to Mr Kitchen, Assistant Overseer £3. George Shaw, late Workhouse Master, Southwell Workhouse. Balance in hand of petty cash account: £3 0s 10d. Annotation: ask clerk if the late master had paid this to the treasurer. |
