Endorsement: Reply of Henry Clifford, Sheriff: he certifies that on 20.3.1522 he delivered the manors in the writ to Nicholas Lamberd to repay the debt to him with damages and costs. Christopher Warde is dead, and Edward Musgrave was not found in his bailiwick.

Note: Inquisition and return: Date to be returned: 30.5.1522. The Sheriff had replied to an earlier writ that Edward Musgrave, knight, at the time of the recognisance was seized in demesne of the manors of Great Musgrave [worth 45m. a year] and Soulby in Westmorland [worth 35m. 3s. 4d a year] after expenses. Neither debtor had any goods or chattels in the bailiwick. John is dead and Christopher and Edward were not found in the bailiwick. [Duplicate of No. 8 but addressed to the Sheriff of Westmorland]
