Nature of request: [Petition in 2 parts:]1) It is requested that remedy in provided for the defaults suffered concerning the defaults in the light cloths of Norfolk made without assize or assay at the will of the workers by which many people are aggrieved.2) The king and his council should know that a bill has been drawn up by men knowing the country and the trade and have so arranged it that it will be greatly to the profit of the king and his people, if the terms can come into force when it has been examined etc.[It is very probable that originally another copy of this petition survived preceding SC 8/313/E106 as a fragment of the last line of the second request survives where it was severed from that petition].
