Nature of request: Robert, Prior of Upholland, requests that the king send writs to Henry Tebbe of Thringstone and other malefactors, his associates, to appear before the king and council in parliament to answer concerning the great trespasses and wrongs they have committed against him concerning his church of Whitwick, and to find sufficient surety for the prior and his people for their lives and limbs, since they are in such favour with the sheriff of Leicestershire that he will not arrest them or serve writs on them.
