Nature of request: Alexander, Archbishop of Dublin, states that in the time of King Edward, the present king's father, a new assessment was made of the benefices of Ireland, because of the destruction of these benefices in war, and the archbishop was the collector of an annual tax granted to the king's father in Ireland, which the Treasurer and Barons of the Dublin Exchequer are now demanding from him according to a former assessment, made before the destruction of the benefices - some of which are completely ruined, some largely. He requests a remedy.
