Description:

Marlborough to Harley: news from Saxony is unreliable. Four Swedish regiments driven out of Poland by the Russians may be in Silesia. He requests that M. d'Alegre, the count de Horne and M. Sebeville may be given permits of leave, but no others until M. de Blanzae has returned from France. The margrave of Bayreuth reports that Villars is between Rasstadt and Philippsburg, which must be to cross the Rhine, so the worst may be over in Germany. By the silence from France, he believes that the duke of Savoy has reached Toulon without opposition. Dated at camp at Meldert. ff. 689, 690
