Description:

2809 (Light Anti-Aircraft) Squadron RAF Regiment. Formed at Snaith (Yorkshire) within Bomber Command in August 1941; transferred to Wittering (Hants, as recorded on the document) [Wittering, Cambridgeshire] within Fighter Command in May 1942. Moved around several other stations in the United Kingdom including Catterick (Yorkshire). Moved to France with 83 Group in June 1944, then to Belgium and the Netherlands; moved to Germany in March 1945 and disbanded at Schleswig in December 1945.
