Title: Exchequer: King's Remembrancer: Files of Warrants of the Office of Pleas
Description:

Prior to the 18th century, subpoenas, attachments, and commissions of rebellion, returnable in the Exchequer of Pleas were made out in the King's Remembrancer's Office. A warrant was sent from the Office of Pleas specifying the type of writ required, the return day, and the names of the parties and of the plaintiff's attorney. On the basis of these warrants, which make up the records in this series, one of the clerks of the King's Remembrancer's Office drew up the writ.
