Description:

1 item extracted from BT 1/18 fo. 354. Card of 17 buttons. Apparently accompanying memorial of the manufacturers of Birmingham complaining at the issue of a licence to Matthew Boulton to establish a mint in Africa. BT 1/18 fo. 359 is endorsed in part 'Mr. Faukener transmits to Lord Liverpool the inclosed papers as he has received them from the Secretary of State's Office. He does not find with what view or to what end the patterns of buttons have been sent'.
