Catalogue description Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues and predecessor: Solicitor's Department: Registers of Cases

This series contains summary particulars of cases referred to the Solicitor of the Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues and predecessor, with brief details of action taken, and usually with references to the letter books. From 1838 to 1851, the registers may contain references to works, in addition to woods, forests and Crown lands. Between October 1851 and October 1868, cases relating to royal forests were registered separately (CRES 23/9-16).

Each volume has an alphabetical table of contents, giving names and subjects.
