2 items extracted from WO 44/13. Copies of plans of Clifford's Fort, Tynemouth, Northumberland. (1) Plan showing Clifford's Fort and the Mill Hill barracks. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet [1:2400]. Compass indicator. Copied by J Briggs, 25 November 1812, 'from an old plan received from the Drawing Room'. (2) Plan showing Clifford's Fort. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1200]. Compass indicator. Copied by G Williams, 23 November 1812, 'from a plan received into the Drawing Room in the year 1784'. The original of which this is a copy was drawn in 1782 by Elias Durnford, Major, Corps of Engineers. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 25 cm x 34 cm; (2) 22 cm x 39cm.
