Map showing the stages in a journey [presumably that of the Franklin expedition] between 9 September and 8 October 1819. Scale: 1 inch to about 19 miles. Reference table. Drawn by L J Hebert, Horse Guards, May 1846. Title extended in red ink to read: 'Route from York Factory to Lake Winnipeg made in a Canoe with Sir G. Simpson, Govr. H. Bay in the Autumn of 1846. J. Crofton, Major 6th Foot Comdg Troops H. Bay'. Red ink additions also show stages in a journey along the same rivers between 24 August and 2 September 1846.
