24 maps and plans of Genoa (Genova) and surroundings, in Liguria, Italy. Detailed descriptions are given at item level. During the period covered by the maps on this roll, Genoa and its territory became, in turn, the (French-controlled) Ligurian Republic (1797-1805), part of the French Empire (1805-1815) and part of Piedmont-Sardinia, under the House of Savoy, (1815-1861); in 1861 Piedmont-Sardinia became part of unified Italy.
