Captured ship: Juno (master Richard Beard) [J333].

History: an American merchant ship (262 tons, 13 men and a passenger), bound from Amsterdam to New York and Philadelphia, laden with gin, oil, empty gin cases, paper and bale goods; seized on 26 February 1799 at anchor on the Motherbank [off the Isle of Wight] near Portsmouth by the collector of HM Customs at the port of Portsmouth.
