Map of the south-eastern part of the island, showing place names, soundings and the tracks of HMS Providence and HMS Assistant. Reference note on the position of Penguin Island and compass variations. Scale: 1 inch to 7.5 sea miles. Drawn by William Bligh. A note states: 'The part not shaded is taken from Cox's Voyage. The soundings detached from the ship's Track were taken in the Bounty.' ORDER THIS DOCUMENT AS MPI 1/69. |
