This map shows the voyage of Charles Edward Stuart, the Young Pretender, to Scotland; his march into England and back, his subsequent wanderings, and his return to France. Also shows the English, Hessian and Dutch fleets, patrolling frigates and other vessels. Decorated with sea monsters, gods, goddesses, and other mythological figures. Title in rococo cartouche surmounted by the Stuart Royal Arms. Two other cartouches enclose the scale bar and a dedication 'Inscribed to all the Honest' (ie Jacobites). Scale: 1 inch to 40 miles.
