1 item (enclosure in Rear Admiral Holmes's despatch of 31 May 1761) extracted from CO 137/60. 'This plan describes that part of the Coast of Hispaniola between Cap François and Monte Christi [now Monte Cristi].' The map shows shoals, ships and their courses, and the mountains making the boundary between the Spanish and French settlements on the north side of the island, in the area now in the Dominican Republic. Reference table. Title and reference table on a scroll. Scale: 1 inch to about 1.625 mile. Compass rose. Compass lines. Rear Admiral Charles Holmes was commander-in-chief at Jamaica 1760-1761. |
