Enclosure map of Great Gidding (parish), Huntingdonshire. Map A covers the whole parish / township (2348.276 acres) and shows the waste and commanable land after enclosure. Also shows named lakes or ponds, former field names, footpaths or bridleways, stopped-up and diverted paths, roads (some named), pound, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), school, vicarage, named buildings, field boundary ownership. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By George Smith, Corn Exchange, Northampton, 1866. Map B covers the enclosed area only (1777 acres) and shows the waste and commonable land before enclosure. Also shows named commons, pre-enclosure field acreages. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 5 chains. By [?George Smith], Northampton, [1852]. Old enclosures are numbered in Arabic, new enclosures numbered in Roman numerals. Map certified for accuracy, 26 August 1869.
