Account Book of the Court of Augmentations, arranged in the following sections: Payments of Pensions; Annuities of Monasteries; Annuities by the King (including wages and diets); Fees of Officers; Decrees; Warrants by theCouncil; the King's Majesty's Warrants, with the main caption: "The Book of Payments of all and singular pensions and annuities with all other ordinary and extraordinary payments made within the office of Sir John Williams, knight, Treasurer of the Court of the Augmentation and Revenues of the King's Crown, for one whole year, that is to say from 20 March, 1 Edward VI, to 20 March, 2 Edward VI." Among the Annuities by the King are payment to Sir William Paget and Sir William Petre, Principal Secretaries, Sir Thomas Seymour and the Duke of Somerset, Lord Protector. Payments by Warrants from the King's Majesty with the advice of the Lord Protector and other his highness's Privy Council include, "for so much money disbursed for certain necessaries lacking for the furniture of my Lady Mary's grace's household, " ambassadors abroad, to the Lord Chancellor, "to be distributed amongst the two Chief Justices, Sergeants at Law, the King's Attorney, the Solicitor and the Clerk of the Parliament and other clerks by way of the King's reward for their attendance at the last session of parliament", "to fifty of the King's watermen as well for their liveries due at Christmas as for their attendance upon the King with his barge and for reparation of the same barge, " "by way of the King's reward to Salvator Luccas for a book in Italian upon the last Scottish field", "for the charges of the scaffolds and other things appointed and appertaining to the Triumphs at the Fort on 14 February", for expenses about the tomb of Henry VIII. Payments by Warrants from the Chancellor and Council of the Court of Augmentations include: for Surveying of Chantries etc. in various counties; for alteration of the late Court of General Surveyors; for the stipends of the Dean and Chapter of Windsor; for making and engrossing the Book of Rates; for writing and engrossing of the book for the erection of the King's College at Norwich; for building of a house for keeping of evidences within the Court of Augmentations. 102 folios. 1 Edward VI
