Payments of Pensions; Annuities of Monasteries; Annuities by the King (including wages and diets); Fees of Officers; Decrees; Warrants by theCouncil; the King's Majesty's Warrants. Payments by virtue of the King's Majesty's Warrants include, "delivered unto his Highness at his palace beside Westminster as by one acquittance thereof signed with his majesty's hand", "to Sir John Gresham for the provision of gun-powder and other necessaries in Flanders", for ordnance in the Isle of Wight and "the charges of boat to scour the seas", for the "payment of the wages of divers captains Italians appointed into the Northern parts", for the conveyance of ordnance from Nottingham to Newcastle, "for his majesty's affairs on the sea", to the Treasurer of the Marine Causes, "for the payment of the wages of certain Spaniards, `to be employed upon repairing the higher and lower house of parliament at Windsor'", "in payment of certain necessaries for the affairs of the Admiralty", "for seven years' rent of a dock at Woolwich". Among the Payments made by Decree: "towards the Exhibition of the King's Scholars at Oxford and Cambridge".
