Description:

Enrolments of Acquittances of the Court of Augmentations, for money received for the purchase of monastic and other property under the jurisdiction of the Court. The earliest enrolment was made 24 January, 34 Henry VIII, and the latest on 23 June, 7 Edward VI. The volume has a double foliation, Henry VIII, 1 to 157, Edward VI, 1 to 88. The earliest bill enrolled is 10 April, 29 Henry VIII, but the enrolment was not made in chronological order. Frequently some years elapsed between the dating of the bill and the date of the enrolment. The enrolments include the names of the grantees, the dates of the grants and descriptions of the premises. Volume, 245 folios.
