Appellant: Benjamin John Harriet Trask, of New York, USA, owner of the ship Carrier Dove, Ross T Smyth and Company, Legar and Tuncliffe, Clunie and Kemp, Rankin Gilmour and Company, T and D Malcomson and Company, Rathbone Brothers and Company, Duncan Ewing and Company, and Gordon Bruce and Company, all of Liverpool, merchants, consignees of her cargo. Respondent: Peter Maddox and others, owners of the steam tugs Enterprise, Universe and Constitution, and master and crew of each said tug. Subject: Salvage of the Carrier Dove and her cargo. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
