Appellant: John Swale Harrison and Charles Harris, shipowners, John Hodgson, master mariner, all of Topsham, Devon, Henry Matthews and Charles Matthews, both of Broadnech, Devon, shipowners, Edward Tremlett of Exeter, shipowner, Elizabeth Matthews, HenryMatthews, John Gould and Joseph Gould, owners of the schooner Globe, and Robert Bassett of Topsham, sole owner of her cargo, and John Hodgson, master, and the rest of the crew thereof. Respondent: George Cheesman and Charles Cheesman, both of Brighthelmstone (Brighton), Sussex, owners of the brig George. Subject: Collision between said vessels on 18 Dec 1846. Lower Court: High Court of Admiralty of England.
