Description:

A Lay Cartulary. A roll of 6 mm., parchment, containing transcripts of 55 deeds on the recto and 11 deeds or memoranda on the verso. All the deeds on the recto relate to Terricus de Colonia, burgess of Stamford. The first two deeds on the verso are written in the same hand somewhat later than the deeds on the recto. Both of these two relate to property in Stamford. The remaining nine entries on the verso, all written in the same hand, are considerably later and relate to tenements in Cuthorpe, Etton, Careby, Ounely, Gotherstoke, Wermyngton, Sutton and Northburgh, all in co. Northants.
