Description:

Bull of Urban VI, addressed to the Archbishop of Canterbury, on a petition of Symon, Bishop of London, and Walter de Maune kt., of diocese of Norwich, concerning a cemetery, founded by authority of Michael, Bishop of London, in which twenty thousand and more dead are buried, in which Maune built a chapel, in which certain chaplains were instituted, transferred to monks of Carthusian order, founded in place which belonged to Hospital of Poor of St. Bartholomew, London, to which foundation Naune gave his manor of Stretlee, diocese of Ely, which manor is bound to render certain services to the Bishop of Ely and his church., for which services the Archbishop is to make provision of sufficient recompense. Dated at Mons Flasconis, 2 Ides May 7 Urban VI.
