Sudan: Ambikol. 'Ambigole Wells': two copies of a map showing the fort and other defence works, and the surrounding countryside; item (2) on tracing cloth. Reference note, to both copies, concerning an attack on the fort, 2-4 December 1885. Scale: 1 inch to 150 paces. Compass indicators. Item (1) signed by Captain A H Mason, Royal Engineers, 2 January 1886, and by Major A J Hepper, Commanding Royal Engineer, 3 January 1886; item (2) traced [from item (1)] by Company Sergeant Major J McPherson, 26 January 1886. Inset plans and sections of the fort and of Berkshire Redoubt; scale: 1 inch to 30 feet [1:360] (plans), 1 inch to 15 feet [1:180] (sections).
